Magnesium Sulphate is used as raw material in washing powder and tablets as stabilising agent for bleaching agents such as most commonly used peroxides and perborates, and in combination with sodium silicate it is a fat preservative.
K+S KALI GmbH offers for the production of washing powders and washing tablets a Magnesium Sulphate Heptahydrate (MgSO4 • 7 H2O, also known as Epsom Salt), as well as a Magnesium Sulphate Anhydrous (MgSO4, also known as Calcinated Magnesium Sulphate). Both are natural products with exceedingly high purity and evenly distributed particle size that supports blending with other washing powder ingredients.

Epsom Salt pure, technical grade of K+S KALI GmbH dissolves quickly in water and with slight cooling effect. Magnesium Sulphate Anhydrous dissolves fast in water releasing heat, which may favour on one hand the dissolving of other ingredients and on the other hand helps saving energy in the washing process.
Both grades of magnesium sulphate are gentle on our fibres and fabrics, as well as on our environment.
Leading Home Care producers, present with their top washing powder brands around the world, rely on quality and services of K+S KALI GmbH to supply their factories in all continents. That is a challenge we like. Other Household Care producers that still are using synthetic alternatives are invited to test our expertise and competitiveness.
