Did you know already...? Tomato sauce for pasta dishes was originally created in the East of Sicily, towards the end of the 17th century. From there, it has made its way to the tables of the world. K+S KALI GmbH has decided to use the motif of tomato sauce and pasta for an international ad campaign, starting in August 2009. The campaign will draw attention to the versatile application options for food grade potassium chloride (KCl Food Grade) as a food additive.
Potassium chloride as a food additive may be used by the food industry, not only in tomato sauce, but in a wide range of products. Among other benefits, utilisation of potassium chloride allows to reduce sodium chloride (NaCl) in convenience foods, thereby following a trend to more balanced nutrition.
