We are looking forwards to 8-9 September 2010: The PotatoEurope, to be held at the Bockerode manor near Hanover, is an international meeting of potato pros. The PotatoEurope will be organised by the German agricultural association (DLG), together with the German potato industry society (UNIKA) and K+S KALI GmbH. K+S KALI GmbH does not only offer fertilisation concepts for potato cultivation at the PotatoEurope 2010, but also complements these by an extensive range of online information on “The world of potato”.
PotatoEurope 2010: The world of potato from A to Z, now online
At this site “The world of potato” you will find two expert articles, a report on a trial at the site Lüsche (South-Oldenburg, Germany) as well as an audio track and a video clip on potato culture and cultivation. Beyond that, you may also marvel at an interesting and colourful photo gallery, showing details from the world of potato. There will be interesting facts and figures on the potato’s origin, the number of varieties and their use in Germany, together with a recipe for a tasty potato dish.

On the trial site Lüsche (Süd-Oldenburg, Germany) the tuber yield could be increased by 17 percent due to a potassium sulphate fertilisation of 300 kg K2O and a simultaneous magnesium fertilisation. more
