K+S KALI fertilisers certified for application in organic agriculture

In order to adequately respond to the increasing demand for certified fertilisers for organic agriculture, K+S KALI GmbH asked the independent inspection agency BCS Öko-Garantie GmbH to confirm applicability of a number of K+S fertilisers for organic agriculture.

These fertilisers originate from natural salt deposits, which were created by the evaporation of seawater approximately 200 million years, in what is today called Europe. Our products are created by mining these crude salts, and by then subjecting them to aboveground conditioning via physical extraction processes.

In accordance with EU-ordinances 834/2007 and 889/2008, and due to their natural provenance, the following K+S KALI GmbH products have been certified for use in organic agriculture:

The certificates on hand are available in German, English, French and Spanish. You may find them by checking “Approval for organic agriculture” and Fertilisers/ Our service/ Certificates organic agriculture on the respective product pages.

In addition to the approval in compliance with the EU-ordinance, the products Patentkali®, HORTISUL® and EPSO Top® were also certified as compliant with the USDA/NOP (National Organic Program, USA) and JAS (Japanese Agricultural Standard for Organic Agricultural Products, Japan).
