Together with K+S KALI GmbH, K+S Benelux Bv attended the Interpom–Primeurs 2008, held at Kortrijk in Belgium, between 30 November and 2 December. The objective to highlight the importance of applying premium potassium and magnesium fertilisers was met.
The Interpom-Primeurs exhibition is held every 2 years and takes place in the Belgian town of Kortrijk, the area around which is largely given to the cultivation of potatoes and vegetables. Several thousand visitors, not only from Benelux-countries but also from Northern France and other European countries, used this event as an opportunity for gathering information on the latest developments in potato cultivation. This was the second time K+S Benelux participated in the exhibition, together with K+S KALI GmbH. An attractive and educative presentation informed visitors on the many benefits of applying the K+S Special Fertilisers Patentkali, Korn-Kali, ESTA Kieserit gran. and EPSO Microtop, while the booth’s team was available for additional explanations.
This year, the consultation focussed on the issue of “Quality Assurance for Agricultural Products“, which may decisively benefit from customised fertilisation. K+S KALI GmbH’s speciality fertilisers provide excellent support when it comes to producing premium-quality agricultural products. The question of how best to promote the quality of table potatoes by applying well-balanced fertilisation, including potassium, magnesium and sulphur, is of great interest to the professional circles, as high-quality products significantly contribute to consumer health. The Interpom-Primeurs recognises the importance of premium agricultural products by awarding the `Belgian Potato Quality Award´, to the agriculturist showing outstanding achievements in this field.
The PotatoEurope 2009 fair will be held between 8 and 10 September 2009, in Emmeloord (the Netherlands). Here too, K+S will contribute its consulting expertise, in order to inform on efficient and sustainable fertilisation with potassium and magnesium products. Make sure to enter PotatoEurope in your timetable; we look forward to seeing you there!
