Phosphorus deficiency (P)

Phosphorus deficiency will cause extremely upright growth of the potato plant. Growth is inhibited, and stems are thin. Older leaves show a tendency to curl upwards, with necrotic discolourations appearing on leaf edges. If the situation is not remedied, older leaves will turn brown and may fall off prematurely. Tuber development is diminished.
