Quality awareness has always been a key element of our corporate culture. Based on DIN EN ISO 9001:2000, K+S KALI GmbH has established a Quality Management System which, among other objectives, guarantees continuous monitoring and improvement of our product and service quality.

Within K+S KALI GmbH, Quality Management is a leadership function throughout all levels of responsibility and includes each employee at his or her place of work. The basic principle is the prevention of problems rather than retrospective cures.

All KaSa^®-products are certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO9001:2000, GMP+ B2 and QS. These systems are subject to continuous internal and external controls, such as by the Belgian-Dutch alliance for animal feed safety, TrusQ.

Controlled raw materials

Nearly all of the raw materials used by K+S KALI GmbH are mined from company-owned underground deposits. This assures a reliable supply of top-grade raw materials, making us the dependable partner for your needs.

Our ultrapure salts are in no way affected by detrimental environmental influences.

High demands on contractors & suppliers

Only additives, excipients, auxiliary and packing materials are used in the manufacture of K+S KALI GmbH products, which comply with our exacting demands on the final product quality.

All materials used and their suppliers therefore need to adhere to a strict catalogue of criteria.

Procurement processes are consistently accompanied by systematic supplier assessments. We particularly value face-to-face communication, within the context of audits at the manufacturer’s location. This allows us to assure you of our products’ excellent quality, right from the start.

Quality control for impeccable end products

Our products form part or all of your base materials – and we are glad to face this expectation. We therefore consider quality controls as a matter of course. K+S KALI GmbH Quality Control rests on three pillars:

• Each product has individual specifications. Based on the relevant physical and chemical parameters, these are continuously monitored at our in-house laboratories, at all production sites. On request, we are glad to certify conformance with these specifications, through a certificate of analysis accompanying the individual shipment. As a complementary measure, we strive to identify any deviations of our raw materials or our manufacturing processes, by inspecting a host of additional parameters.
• The accredited central laboratory of the K+S Research Institute supports the work done at the on-site laboratories, but also develops its own specific methods of analysis. From time to time we assign analyses to other accredited external laboratories, which have proven themselves as reliable partners over many years of cooperation with K+S KALI GmbH.
• The third pillar of our quality assurance system is the application-technological laboratory. This is where specialists with a wide breadth of experience benchmark our entire range of products, examining their applicability for our customers’ processes, and further application options.
