As of April 1, 2011, Gerhard Horn has been named the Executive Director of K+S North America Corporation, headquartered in New York.

Gerhard Horn began his career by joining Kali + Salz in 1980. Since then he has represented the K+S Group in a variety of functions domestically and abroad. Gerhard Horn was the Marketing Director for K+S KALI GmbH from October 2003 until recently. In this position he was responsible for the global marketing of Fertilizers, Industrial Products, Feeds as well as Health Care and Food Products which are all areas of his expertise. In addition, Gerhard Horn is a contributing member of a variety of international organizations and committees. He is for example on the Board of Directors of International Plant Nutrition Institute and President of Sulphate of Potash Information Board.
Gerhard Horn’s international marketing and sales expertise is not only highly valued by the K+S organization but also by the international partners and this is a great asset for the position of the Executive Director of K+S North America.
Jan Döge, his predecessor as the Executive Director of K+S North America since 2008, returned to Germany on 1 April 2011, and as a Senior Product Manager will take on global responsibility for SOP-products and Patentkali®.
