Having steadily ramped up its training commitment over the previous years, it is now even more effective in countering demographic trends. The Supervisory Board and the Board of Executive Directors of K+S Aktiengesellschaft, Kassel, have decided to terminate potash production at the Sigmundshall site (Wunstorf-Bokeloh, Hanover Region) at the end of 2018. In talks with workforce representatives and the trade union, new prospects and solutions are being discussed for the approximately 730 employees of the site. more

Today Volker Bouffier, Minister President of Hesse, visited the Werra Verbund plant to get informed about the current economic situation of the potash district and, at the same time, praised the efforts made by the company to make production even more environmentally friendly by using the latest technology.
