The Wittenheim facility is situated near Mulhouse, in Alsace, on the site of the former potash mine MDPA Théodore. Its main activity is the granulation of potassium chloride. Everyday, potassium chloride from the German mines is delivered here. The site also includes a bagging plant and a fertiliser blending plant. 47 employees work at the Wittenheim facility.

Due to its extensive storage capacities, Wittenheim is an important logistics platform of K+S KALI GmbH. A large proportion of the products intended for the French market pass through this site, to be trans-shipped either by rail or by road.
