About us
K+S KALI GmbH is one of the world’s leading potassium mining companies. Our strengths lie in the mining and processing of an assortment of raw salts, particularly magnesium-containing salts, in an efficient, environmentally conscious manner whilst using unique technology. As a provider of speciality and mainstream fertilisers, as well as products for industrial applications, we are present in many spheres of life.
With a share of about 10 percent, we are the world’s fifth-largest producer of potassium products. For potassium sulphate and magnesium products, we are the worlds leading supplier. K+S KALI GmbH employ approximately 8,000 people.

We have a long tradition of potassium mining and raw salt processing. After all, the potassium industry originated in Germany, more than 150 years ago.

Potent Mineral Fertilisers
K+S KALI GmbH offers a unique range of fertilisers. Our speciality fertilisers differ from standard potassium chloride by additional nutrient forms and product upgrades. Various nutrient formulations containing potassium, magnesium, sulphur and trace minerals, are perfectly adapted to a wide range of cultures, and are the foundation of crop-specific plant nutrition.
The development of our fertiliser products is partly based on our own research, but also draws on the results achieved by external agri-research institutions. This is complemented by the results from long-term, international field trials.
